Mission Statement

Our mission, as a group of compassionate and professional team members, is to provide exceptional emergency medicine, critical care, and specialty referral services to the pets of Western North Carolina.

Our goal is to provide the best emergency and specialty veterinary care possible, in an environment where our referring veterinarians and clients feel welcome, cared for and respected.

REACH stands for Referral and Emergency Animal Care Hospital.

Our Core Values:

R Respect our clients, patients, fellow team members, and ourselves

C Compassionate caregiving

H Helping hands to aid patients, clients, and fellow team members in relieving stress and discomfort

Community Involvement:

Community involvement is an important part of REACH. We care about animals and the people who love them and are committed to education so that animals may be better cared for. REACH’s concern for animals extends beyond the walls of our hospital. We have a connection with all living things. We value the very special bond that we share with our animal companions and we strive to improve the lives of all pets.

We also recognize the importance of a healthy natural environment and the need to be good stewards of the earth. We are concerned about energy conservation, climate change, and our own impact on the environment. In October 2015, we consciously decided to take steps to reduce our own carbon footprint by taking advantage of renewable energy sources. By switching to solar we are saving money in energy costs as well as doing our part to reduce our impact on the environment.

Our hospital supports groups in the community who share our passion. We provide financial support to the following organizations in our community in hopes that far more can be accomplished together:
